TikTok Shop Ireland launched in December 2024. In May 2026 TikTok opened access to more Irish businesses. TikTok says Irish sellers have grown by triple digits, creators on its affiliate programme have grown by 600%, and it has paid more than €2 million in commissions directly to Irish creators.
Is TikTok Shop available in Ireland?
Yes. TikTok launched TikTok Shop in Ireland in December 2024, in partnership with Guaranteed Irish. A year on, TikTok reported 2.4 million monthly TikTok users in Ireland and Irish sellers up by triple digits. On 21 May 2026 TikTok announced that it was opening access to more Irish businesses.
How do I access TikTok Shop in Ireland?
You don’t download anything. In the TikTok app, the Shop tab sits in the bottom bar, and any video or LIVE with a product attached shows a basket icon; tap it to see the product, the price and the seller. Search inside the Shop tab for a product or a brand, or search TikTok itself and filter to Shop. Checkout, delivery tracking, returns and messages to the seller all happen in the app.
Is it safe to buy? Sellers verify their identity and address when they register. You also keep your ordinary consumer rights, including the right to cancel most online orders within 14 days. The CCPC’s guidance on online shopping sets out the rest.

What brands are on TikTok Shop Ireland?
Its first-anniversary post pointed to Betty and Biddy, whose Claddagh collection went viral, with a 388% sales increase quarter-to-date. TikTok quoted Seán Leddin of Fíor Jewellery in Limerick, who said working with creators through the affiliate programme “has become one of the most powerful tools we have”.
Nielsen IQ data cited by TikTok puts those aged 46 to 61 as the largest share of shoppers at 37%, followed by 30 to 45 year-olds at 34% and 18 to 29 year-olds at 27%.
How to sell on TikTok Shop Ireland
Registration is at seller-ie.tiktok.com, and TikTok’s own page gives the timings:
- Sign up with a phone number, email or existing TikTok account. Two minutes. “Each phone number or email can only be registered once.”
- Complete the application. “Verify your identity and address with eligible documents. Depending on your business type, you may also need to provide business information.” Fifteen to twenty minutes.
- Get approved. “1-3 days (Actual application review time may vary)”, by email.
- Start selling. List your first product and add payment details. Fifteen minutes.
Your business type decides which documents you need, so have your address and documents ready before you start.
A few things in the small print are worth knowing before you click. Signing up includes “creating a Business Centre and Ads Manager account” as well as the shop, and “Advertising expenses may be deducted from your shop’s revenue.” Payouts run through a Stripe connected account. The sign-up form also asks you to agree to the affiliate programme. That lets creators promote all your products without further confirmation, at a standard default commission, and it enables free samples. You can opt out or change these settings later.

What are the fees for TikTok Shop in Ireland?
TikTok Shop charges a commission on each completed order, and the rate varies by category.
The exact rate for your category appears in Seller Centre once you’re registered.
On top of the commission you decide what to pay creators. The affiliate commission is yours to set per product, and creators are paid only when a sale is made. A seller giving 10% to creators, plus TikTok’s commission, hands over a large share of each sale before postage, which is why TikTok Shop suits products with a margin rather than a thin one.

Working with Irish creators
The affiliate programme is what makes TikTok Shop different from a marketplace. You set a commission per product. Creators promote your products in shoppable videos and LIVEs, and you pay commission when they sell.
TikTok says the number of Irish creators on its affiliate programme has grown by 600%, and that creators span ages 18 to 60 plus. In the six months to May 2026, creator-led shoppable video sales and LIVE shopping sessions increased by double digits. Its Creator Matchmaking event that month had 25 Irish brands and over 150 creators.
The labelling rule applies to every one of those videos. The CCPC and ASAI guidance names #Ad as the standard label, and says that if you benefit from mentioning a brand on social media, the content is commercial and this must be obvious to viewers. Our guide to the ASAI rules has the detail.
What sells on TikTok Shop Ireland, and what it costs to find out
TikTok’s first-anniversary post pointed to Claddagh jewellery. Products that show well on camera, are cheap enough to test, ship quickly and have a story are the ones to try first. TikTok reported that Irish sellers’ Black Friday week brought an 82% increase in shoppable video content and a 190% sales uplift, and that LIVE sessions from its stand at the National Ploughing Championships reached over 225,000 visitors.
The cost of finding out is low. The commission is only paid on completed orders. What you’ll spend is time: samples to creators, your own videos, and the discipline to go LIVE.

Registration is for businesses. You verify your identity and address with eligible documents, and depending on your business type you may also need to provide business information.
Do I need a VAT number to sell on TikTok Shop?
Not unless you’re VAT registered. Irish sales below Revenue’s €85,000 goods threshold need no Irish VAT number. Sales to consumers in other EU countries follow a separate test: once they pass €10,000 in a calendar year, you must register for VAT in those countries or use the EU One-Stop-Shop scheme.
