Local SEO in Ireland, What It Is, How Google Ranks Local Businesses and How to Do It
Local SEO explained for Irish businesses: what it is, where local results appear, Google's own three ranking factors, the ten jobs that move a…
Tyrone buyers look before they ring, and nearly all of them take the first business on the screen. Our work is to make that you, onto the map, up the results and into the answer that now sits above the lot. Every price is published, every report counts enquiries, and County Tyrone clients are met on High Street in Omagh.
Enter your website and we will uncover the opportunities hiding across search, advertising, content and conversion.

No city, six towns, and a separate first place in every one of them. That is the opening in Tyrone, and hardly anybody here is taking it.
Meanwhile the firm above you is picking up work in Omagh and Dungannon both, and it is doing it on paperwork. A finished profile, a page for each job instead of one page listing them all, reviews that never stopped coming, and a website that names the towns it actually serves.
All of that is catchable. Spread out the way this county is, the searches split town by town, and the competition inside any one of them is thin. They get taken in whichever order pays best, and the report counts the enquiries that follow.
Tyrone has no capital, which means Google has no default answer here. A search from Cookstown and a search from Castlederg produce different lists, and the business that wins both is the one that told Google it works in both. Most websites in this county name the county and leave it at that.
Under the map are four plain questions. Does this firm do the work being asked about, is it near enough, is it open, and has anybody backed it lately in public. The name above you answers all four. Yours probably answers one and a half.

The profile is the usual culprit. Set up once, category guessed at, half the services never entered, photographs from years back, and a service area that either covers the whole of Ulster or nothing at all. Neither version tells Google where you really work.
Then the website. One page covering everything you do means no page is a good match for anything, so the firm with a page per service takes the search. And the towns matter more here than anywhere. Omagh, Dungannon, Cookstown, Strabane, Coalisland and Castlederg are six markets, not one, and each goes to whoever wrote it down.
Start with the thing you actually want. A buyer in Dungannon needs what you make or do, searches for it on a phone or a laptop, and yours is the name pinned on the map, near the top of the results, and inside the answer printed over the two of them. The phone rings or the form arrives, and the report shows the search that produced it.
Four pieces of work, all dull, all checkable. The Google profile completed and held accurate, category, services, this year’s photographs, hours, and a service area drawn on the towns you really cover. A page per service, so a search for one job finds the page for that job. Reviews asked for at handover and answered. And every listing carrying your details reading the same as the next, from the directories and trade registers to Omagh Chamber.

Below that, the site has to load on a phone in a yard with poor coverage, the pages need markup identifying the business and the address behind them, and the writing has to answer what a buyer checks before committing. Everybody searching here is on Google’s UK results, so that is what gets tracked for you.
Where a valuable search is going to somebody else, you get its name, the work required and a date. It goes into the report whether it flatters us or not.
Nothing here needs to be believed. Every line of it can be checked while you are deciding, which is the point of writing it down rather than saving it for a meeting.
Bubblehub has traded since 2013. The plan is written by the people who then run it month to month, so no work is handed to somebody who has to be brought up to speed first.
The prices are published, so a Tyrone business can size the job up before making contact. Enquiries are what the monthly report counts, since nobody ever paid a supplier with a ranking. And the reviews shown are Google reviews, each carrying the name of the business that wrote it.

Tyrone clients sit down with us on High Street in Omagh, a manageable run from anywhere in the county. County Louth is where the business is run from. The same hands plan and deliver it from either one.
Google has taken to writing its own answer above the results, and businesses get named in it. ChatGPT behaves the same way for anybody asking who to hire around here. Neither one is guessing. They lean on a profile with no blanks, reviews dated inside the last month or two, and pages that state plainly what is sold and who buys it.
It is the same search, dressed differently, and the same work puts you in it. No product exists to buy for it, and anybody selling one is having you on. What it asks extra is sentences a machine can hand on without breaking them, which means prices, hours, delivery areas and honest answers to the questions buyers ask.

It is built into the campaigns run here and never billed on its own. When the answer begins to name firms in your line around Omagh or Cookstown, the intention is to see yours in that list, and the report marks the month it started.
Use the form or the phone. One working day later you have the list of searches your trade gets in this county, your position on each, and the firms holding the places above you. Free, and nothing signed.
Say go and the first fortnight is measurement. Where you rank now, what the site is doing to you, which records still show an address or a number you left behind, and what the firm above you finished years ago.
The month after is the groundwork. Profile finished, records corrected, the site faults cleared worst first, a review asked for when the job is handed over, and tracking in place so every enquiry can be put back to a search. Then the pages themselves, one service after another, richest first.
Ninety days along, the map ought to be carrying you when the search happens near your yard, and the first report should name the town and the search behind every enquiry. In Tyrone the town-and-trade searches move first, then the county name, and anything aimed at buyers outside the county takes longest of all. A quarter with nothing to show is written up as such, and a different plan follows.
Tyrone works differently from the counties around it. The engineering belt from Dungannon through Coalisland to Cookstown builds machinery that leaves the county and often the country, so the buyers looking for it are nowhere near Tyrone and they search in trade words rather than town names. That is a different job from a local map listing, and it is worth more per enquiry than anything else here.
The construction side sells regionally. Plant hire, civils, groundworks and haulage are all chosen after a look at the website, so those pages have to carry the fleet, the accreditations, the sites already finished and how quickly you can be there.
Then the town trades. A dentist, a garage, a salon or a takeaway in Omagh or Strabane is picked from the map and the reviews, and whoever is finished and recent wins it. Builders and electricians are picked on where they will travel, so the towns need naming. The agricultural end, contractors, feed and machinery dealers, sells on season and on trust, and those customers stay with the same firm for twenty years once they have chosen.
Some should not spend on it. Where the work is needed inside a fortnight, that is ads and we will say so. Where the budget is very tight, the profile and the reviews are free to sort out yourself, and they will do more for you than a thin campaign would. For everybody else in Tyrone there is a town, or a trade search, sitting there unclaimed.
The rates are published because a business should be able to rule us in or out without a phone call. They are in euro and they are the same everywhere. For local work Tyrone is priced at the bottom of the bands, since the field is thin in most towns. Selling machinery or services well beyond the county is a bigger job and is priced as one.
A business taking its work from Omagh, Dungannon, Cookstown or another town and the country around it.
A firm working across the county, or a trade where Omagh and Dungannon are both contested.
A Tyrone manufacturer or supplier selling into Britain, the south or further afield.
What each band puts into hours, pages and links is described in how much SEO costs in Ireland. Beneath roughly €400 a month there is no campaign in it, only upkeep.
We've been using Sam and Dave at Bubble Hub for a few years now after switching from a previous provider who didn't even notice when a few of our sites got hacked.
Absolutely fantastic service every time from Bubblehub. I use them for all website needs, starting from initial web design, all the way to SEO and everything in between.
From the outset of my dealings with Bubblehub I was struck by their professionalism, flexibility and dedication.
We heard about Bubblehub Media from a really satisfied client of theirs, and similarly our experience has been brilliant.
Taking one town and the country round it works out at €800 to €1,500 a month. Inside that sits the profile, the service pages, the record corrections, the reviews and a monthly report. Covering the county from end to end, or a trade that is contested in two towns at once, reaches €1,500 to €3,500 a month, and the number of towns sets the figure.
The map tends to shift within the opening three months, provided the profile is finished and reviews have started again. A page built for a single service wants four to six months. Anything aimed at buyers outside Tyrone takes longer again, because those searches are fought over by firms in Britain as well.
For searches made around Castlederg it works in your favour. Google prefers what is close to the person asking, so naming Castlederg, Newtownstewart and the roads west takes that ground while the rest of the county argues over Omagh. Going after the county word from that distance is slower, so it waits its turn.
Ads work immediately and stop immediately. Search takes months and then keeps paying. Where a trade sees only a handful of searches a month, as most do here, the unpaid listing is worth more over a year. Run ads while the work beds in if the diary needs it.
For anything your address and your service area genuinely cover, yes, and it is usually the quickest part of the work. It needs a finished profile, reviews still landing, records that agree and a site repeating what the profile says. No fixed position is in anybody's gift, ours included.
Yes. High Street in Omagh is the meeting address for Tyrone, and it is a reasonable run from Strabane, Cookstown or Dungannon. County Louth is where the office is based, and the people who planned the campaign are the ones running it.
