Where the enquiries are going
Restaurant gets typed into Google 14,800 times a month here. Gym, 2,900 times. Solicitor, 1,900. Each of those searches ends with one name being rung, and which name it is comes down to work rather than luck.

Ask Google for what you sell in Limerick. If a rival comes up and you do not, that gap is the whole problem, and it is a solvable one.
The name you keep seeing is usually no better at the job. It is just easier to recommend. Its profile is complete, its site gives each service a page of its own, and its reviews kept arriving after the first month. So when somebody in Castletroy or Raheen picks up their phone, Google has an easy answer, and the easy answer is not you.
That changes quicker here than in the big cities. The list of businesses that have finished this work in Limerick is short, and shorter again west of Adare. We do the work that gets a business picked, and every month the report tells you how many calls came of it rather than how many places you moved.
Google does not know who does the better job. It knows what it can verify. Who provides this service, who is close to the person asking, who is open at that moment, and who has been chosen recently by named customers. The business that answers all four is one of the three on the map. The business that answers two might as well be invisible.
Most businesses in this county answer two. The listing went up when the doors opened, with a category that was never right and half the services missing. The website has a single page for everything, so no individual search finds anything. The reviews stopped after the first flurry. And the site says Limerick, so the searches coming out of Newcastle West, Kilmallock and Abbeyfeale land on whoever thought to name them.

The city adds a wrinkle of its own. Castletroy and Annacotty on one side, Dooradoyle and Raheen on the other, the centre in between, and the river and the bridges making places that look close a twenty minute drive at five in the evening. Customers know that even when Google does not, so saying plainly which side you are on and where you travel to is worth more than repeating the county name.
None of it is complicated and all of it is unfinished on most Limerick sites. That is exactly why it is worth doing. The field here is short enough that the finished business takes the top and keeps it.
Picture the result. Somebody on your side of the city, or out your end of the county, goes looking for what you sell, and you are the business they see, on the map with a number they can tap, in the results beneath and inside the answer Google writes above both. The phone goes and the report says which search sent them.
Four jobs produce it. Your Google Business Profile finished to the last field, correct category, each service on its own line, photographs from this year, hours that hold up at the weekend, and a service area drawn along the roads you actually drive. A page for every service you sell, written so the person searching for that one job lands on that one page. Reviews coming in steadily from real customers and answered in the voice you would use on the phone. And your name, address and number matching everywhere they turn up, on Golden Pages, on the registers for your trade, at Limerick Chamber, and in whatever Local Enterprise Office Limerick holds from a mentor or a grant.

Then the work underneath. The site made quick on a phone, marked up so Google can place the company and its address exactly, and stocked with the answers a Limerick buyer wants before they commit. Prices or price ranges, how long the job takes, what happens first, who does it.
Professional firms get one more thing, pages for the people doing the work, because that is what gets read before an appointment is made.
What comes back from us first is a straight answer about where you stand. Which Limerick searches are worth money in your trade, which of them you are losing today, and what taking each one would involve. None of it is held back to get you on to a call.
We started in 2013. There are two founders, both still on accounts, so the people who plan the work are the people who do it. You will not be handed over to somebody who has to go and ask what was done this month.
Prices are on the site instead of behind a phone call. The report counts enquiries, not positions, because no position ever paid a wage. Every review shown here is a Google review with the business name attached to it.

Client meetings happen on O’Connell Street in the city. The office is in County Louth, and wherever you meet us, the plan stays with the people who built it.
Ask Google for a solicitor in Limerick or somewhere to eat near Castletroy and it writes an answer above the results with businesses named in it. Ask ChatGPT and it hands you names too. Neither has invented a new kind of search. Both are drawing on what the map has used all along, a listing that is complete, reviews with the dates still fresh, and pages that say in ordinary words what the business does and who it does it for.
Nothing separate has to be bought and we do not sell it. AI answers are search, and the same work wins both. All they change is how plainly you need to write, because a machine quoting you will take what is on the page and nothing else. Put the prices, the areas, the hours and the straight answers where they can be read.

In a county this size the effect is bigger than it sounds. When only a few real options exist for a search, being one of the names an answer gives out beats any position on a page nobody scrolls. It is built into every campaign we run here.
You ring the number or send the form. Before the next working day is out you get the searches your trade attracts in Limerick, where you currently sit on each of them, and the names ahead of you. It costs nothing and you are free to do whatever you like with it.
If you want to start, two weeks go on taking the site apart. What it already ranks for, how quickly it loads, which records carry the wrong details, and what the businesses holding your searches have finished that you have not. That last list tends to be short in Limerick, which is why a well run campaign moves quickly here.
The month that follows is foundations. Profile finished and verified, categories and service areas corrected, old listings fixed or removed, a review routine agreed with whoever talks to your customers, and call tracking put in so each enquiry carries the page and the search that produced it. Then the pages themselves, in whatever order the searches justify rather than the order anybody prefers.
Twelve weeks in, the map should have you across your own side of the city or your own town, with the service pages settling and a report naming the page that produced each enquiry. The specific searches, a service plus a place, come good first here and they convert better anyway. If a quarter goes by and nothing has moved, the report puts that in writing and we rethink it.
What the county searches for says a good deal about it. Restaurants take 14,800 a month, massage 5,400, hotels 4,400, gyms 2,900, barbers and hairdressers 2,400 each, then dentists, solicitors and taxis on 1,900 apiece with car hire on 1,600. Hotel demand here is a fraction of the tourist counties, and solicitors make the top ten, which they do almost nowhere else.
That professional demand is the most valuable thing in the list. Somebody searching for a solicitor, an accountant or a surveyor has a problem and a deadline, and one instruction can be worth a year of small jobs. Those pages win on clarity and proof. What you do, who does it, what it costs, how long it takes and what happens first.
The premises trades are settled in the map and on the phone. A gym, a barber or a dentist needs the finished profile, reviews that keep coming, a page showing prices and availability, and a booking route that works on a phone without three redirects. People choosing a barber in Raheen are deciding between two names, not comparing the county.
It is not for every business. If enquiries have to arrive this week, Google Ads is the answer, and we will say so rather than take the money. If two hundred a month is the budget, finish your own listing with it and come back when there is more. Everywhere else in Limerick, the top of the results is within reach and it stays reached.
The rates are published so you can do the sums on your own before you ring. Limerick lands mid table on price, above the quiet counties because the city trades are contested, under Cork and Dublin because there is less standing in the way.
One premises chasing the trade in its own quarter of the city, or in a single county town.
A business working the city, the suburbs and the west of the county, or a busy trade in town.

A budget beneath roughly €400 a month funds maintenance and moves nothing. The band by band arithmetic is in how much SEO costs in Ireland, showing the hours and the pages that sit behind a figure. If the numbers do not suit your business this year we will say it plainly.

€800 to €1,500 a month suits one premises chasing its own quarter of the city or a single county town, covering profile work, a page per service, the listings put right, the reviews and the reporting. €1,500 to €3,500 a month is the band for city and county together, or a busy trade in town. Limerick prices in the middle, under Cork and Dublin because there is less standing in your way.
In the towns and the outer suburbs the map often moves within two to four months, since the review counts are catchable. City trades take four to eight months, and the plain county term longer again. The searches that pair a service with a place land earliest and bring the better enquiries, so they get the work first.
It works in your favour locally. Abbeyfeale, Newcastle West and the villages along the N21 are lightly contested, and a business naming them properly can hold that whole corner of the county. The city is a separate and harder campaign, so we would take the west first and treat the city as the next stage once enquiries are coming.
Ads work while you pay and stop when you stop, which suits a launch or a quiet month. Because competition here is lighter than the two big cities, most Limerick clients use ads briefly at the start and let them go once the pages and the map are producing. Trades with a high value per job often keep a small permanent budget on their best few terms.
In most trades here it is the most realistic win available, since the review totals standing in your way are small. It takes a finished listing, reviews arriving regularly, details that agree wherever they appear, and a website carrying the same facts the listing shows. No one can guarantee a place in those three results, and an agency offering one in writing should be shown the door.
We do. Client meetings happen on O’Connell Street in the city, and we work with businesses from Castletroy and Raheen out to Newcastle West and Kilmallock. The main office is in County Louth, and your campaign is looked after by whoever set it up.
