An SEO Agency is a company that offers Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) services to other corporate entities. We use Google Analytics and Google Search Console for our reporting. For the most part, the company offering SEO Services will also offer a range of other media services such as web development, design and PPC (Pay per click). These are known as full-service digital agencies. We also use tools from Google, HubSpot and Semrush, picked to suit the client. Bubblehub Media is a full-service agency.
Put simply, the meaning of an SEO agency is a team you pay to get your website found in search: fixing the site, writing the pages people are looking for, and earning the links that prove you deserve to rank.
How can an SEO strategy help your business?
An SEO agency will help your business by directing targeted, non-paid organic traffic to your website.
Although this seems like a simple enough concept to understand, the unique proposition of SEO/PPC is to direct traffic that has actively searched for a product or service that you offer.
There is no other advertising avenue that offers this unique proposition.
Other more traditional marketing methods such as TV, billboards, magazine advertisement, cold calling or even a storefront rely on the volume of traffic.
But even if you were to have a shopfront on a busy street, there is no guarantee one person walking past will be in the market for what you offer.
Similarly, if you take out a magazine advert or billboard there are no guarantees the audience who choose to read that day will be looking for your company.

Google changed how people research, review and buy products and services.
Google’s only MO as a service is to provide the user with the best search result possible for their specific criteria.
This gives us what is known as Google’s Unique Proposition, which is to put your company in front of customers at the exact moment they are looking for what you offer.
Our job as an SEO agency is to get your website ranking for as many relevant search terms as we can.

What makes a good search engine optimisation services agency?
In our opinion, a good SEO Agency should be an extension of your company’s marketing department. Your SEO team should work with you, not for you. Your chosen company should understand your business as well as you do. Only then can we effectively market your values and principles. We write a separate SEO plan for each client, built around their business goals and the people they sell to, and that plan is what our SEO services deliver.
How much should I pay for Optimisation?
We have been doing search engine optimisation for over 15 years. We work on on-page, off-page and technical optimisation to improve website visibility, drive traffic and increase revenue from organic search. We do not publish the specifics of our clients’ campaigns, because competitors would copy them.
What we can say is that SEO really isn’t as complex as some marketing agencies lead you to believe. It is a combination of providing engaging content, and links to and from authority sites, encompassed in a fast loading easy-to-navigate interface.
Many companies consider only what Google’s most recent update wants them to do. They only optimise sites for this deliverable. But Google, like all search engines, has one long-term goal, which is to show the best result for each search.
To try and manipulate Google’s algorithm is an exercise in futility, although it might achieve some temporary traffic in the short term, it will do more harm than good in the long-run.
The customers we wish to work with are the ones who want to incrementally grow their rankings, and once they are at the top, to stay there.
The way we work SEO is to first understand you and your company. We will establish your USPs, price points and routes to market that you already know work well for your business.

Then use the information to capture traffic actively looking for what you offer.

What’s the difference between SEO and PPC?
As a service, search engines want to provide the best result for the query entered into them. But like any commercial entity there also needs to be a paid side to the service. Within search engines, this comes in the form of Ads. These are commonly referred to as PPC ads or Pay-Per-Click.
Ads appear above the organic results and do not follow the same rules the algorithm requires an organic listing to follow. An Ad pays for a position and subsequently traffic, each time the Ad is clicked it charges the company advertising a fee. This is where the term cost per click originates.
As a full-service agency, we offer both PPC and SEO. The two work optimally in tandem, it is not a case of one being more effective than the other. They both have pros and cons depending on their application.

What is On-site SEO
There are 3 major elements of SEO. On-site, off-site and technical SEO. Onsite SEO is the process of editing various elements of each page of your website to target particular keywords. Think of the internet as an extensive library and your site as a singular book within it. In order for the librarian (Search Engines) to be able to find your book, it needs to know what the book’s content is.
So the headings, titles and content all need to say the same thing, so the search engine can work out where to index you. Get those elements right and you rank higher for the searches you want, which is how people find your book in a library that size.
What does SEO cost?
What SEO costs in Ireland depends on the type of SEO, whether you want local or national rankings, the size of your company and how competitive your niche is. Our article on what SEO costs goes through it in detail.
Off-site SEO
One of the most important aspects of site optimisation, aimed at improving website visibility on search engine results, does not actually happen on your website, it happens off-site. This includes things like backlinks. This is where sites that Google deems authoritative provide links known as “backlinks” to your content. Each one of these links is viewed as a vote to say that content is relevant or important.
As your SEO provider it’s our job to nurture relationships with other sites to build these links and make your content rank higher than your competitors.
What to Expect From an SEO Agency
A good SEO agency should make its work easy to see. In the first weeks, expect an audit of your site and your competitors, and a plan that says which pages will be worked on first, for which searches, and what should move first.
After that, expect regular reporting on what matters to you: enquiries, calls and sales, not just rankings and traffic. Expect early signals within eight to twelve weeks and meaningful movement within four to six months, depending on where your site starts.
And expect honesty. Nobody can guarantee a number one ranking, and Google itself says to be wary of anyone who promises one.
If you run an agency yourself and want SEO for your clients without hiring an SEO team, that is white label SEO, and our guide to white label SEO services explains how it works.
