Google Ads budget calculator

Turn the enquiries you want into a starting budget, with the arithmetic shown.

Work it out

Start from the leads you want, not the money you have.

A Google Ads budget is three numbers multiplied: how many enquiries you want, how many visitors it takes to get one, and what a visitor costs. Put in yours and the budget follows.

Calls, forms or sales, whatever counts as a result for you.

Your site's conversion rate. If you have no data yet, start at 3 and refine it with your own numbers.

From your account, or Google's Keyword Planner for the searches you would bid on.

Starting budget

Plan for €800 to €1,200 while the account learns

Ad spend only; management is separate. Clicks are rounded up and the range allows for the first weeks, when the account is still learning what converts.

About these numbers

Is this a quote?

No. It is the arithmetic behind a budget, using the numbers you give it. A real plan starts with your account data, your market's click prices and what a lead is worth to you, which is a conversation rather than a form.

Where do I find my cost per click?

If you have run ads before, your Google Ads account shows the average cost per click. If not, Google's Keyword Planner gives a range for any search, and our Google Ads cost guide publishes the ranges we see across the accounts we run.

What if the budget is more than I can spend?

Then the lever is the conversion rate, not the spend: a landing page that turns more visitors into enquiries cuts the budget for the same result. That is usually where we start. Our paid media service covers both sides.
