The money on the table
6,600 people a month look for a restaurant in Sligo, 1,600 for a hairdresser and 1,300 for a dentist. Each of them picks from the three names in the map and the first few results under it, and the question is whether one of those names is yours.

The Sligo business above you on Google is not better than you. It is easier to find.
You know the one. Same trade, same town, maybe half your experience, and when somebody in Ballymote or Strandhill picks up their phone, that name comes up and yours does not. The difference is that their profile is finished, their site says what they do and where they do it, and their reviews kept coming after the opening month.
That is fixable, and in Sligo it is fixable faster than almost anywhere in the country, because the businesses holding the top spots here are a short list, and a short list is beatable. We do the work that puts your name at the top, and we report on the calls it brings in rather than the positions.
Google cannot tell who the best dentist in Sligo is, so it goes on who answers its questions. When somebody in Tubbercurry searches for a dentist, Google needs to know who is a dentist, who is near Tubbercurry, who is open, and who real people have chosen recently. The business that answers all four gets the call. The one that answers two of them is on page two, however good the work is.
Most Sligo businesses answer two. The Google Business Profile was set up in a hurry and never finished. The website has one page for every job the business does, so it ranks properly for none of them. The reviews arrived in a burst when the doors opened and then stopped. And the site says Sligo, and only Sligo, so the searches from Enniscrone, Ballymote and Grange go to whoever bothered to name them.

All of that is fixable, and in a county this size it is the whole opportunity. The list of businesses competing for any one search in Sligo is short. Being the finished one on that list takes months rather than years, and once you hold the spot it takes a better business than yours to move you off it.
The result you are buying is simple to describe. Somebody in your part of the county searches for what you sell, and your name is there, in the map with your number a tap away, in the results underneath, and in the answer Google writes above both. Then the phone rings, and the report shows you which search made it ring.
Getting there is four jobs done properly. Your profile, finished to the last field and kept that way, with the right category, every service listed, photographs from this year and the towns you serve. A page for each service you sell, written for somebody who has never heard of you, so a search for that one job finds that one page. Reviews arriving steadily from real customers, asked for the right way and each one answered. And every listing that carries your name, from Golden Pages to the trade registers to Sligo Chamber, agreeing with every other one.

Underneath it, the site is made quick on a phone on the N4, the pages are marked up so Google knows exactly which business this is and where, and the content answers the questions people in Sligo ask before they buy. Where a search is worth having and you are not winning it, you get told which one, what it needs and how long it will take.
Search SEO Sligo on Google and see who is at the top. That is the search every agency in the country would like to hold for this county, and holding it took the same work we do for clients, nothing more. It is the one piece of proof a sales pitch cannot fake.
We have been doing this since 2013. Two of us started the agency, and the people who plan your campaign are the people who do it. You are never handed to an account manager who has to ask somebody else what is going on.
The prices are published, so you can see what a Sligo budget buys before you ring anybody. The reports count enquiries rather than positions, because a position never paid a wage. Every review we show is a Google review with the name attached, from a business we work with.

We keep a desk at The Landing Space on Rockwood Parade, so a meeting in Sligo happens in Sligo. Head office is in County Louth, and the same few people run your campaign whichever end it starts at.
Ask Google who the best physio in Sligo is and it now writes an answer before it shows you the results, and that answer names businesses. Ask ChatGPT the same thing and it names businesses too. Both are choosing from the evidence the map has used for years, a finished profile, recent reviews, and pages that say plainly what the business does and for whom.
There is no separate product to buy for it, and anyone selling you one is selling you the wrong thing. It comes out of the same work, done properly, plus pages written in sentences a machine can quote without mangling them. Your prices, your areas, your hours and the answers to the questions people ask before they book, written where they can be read.

That is built into every Sligo campaign we run. When Google’s answer names three businesses for your trade in your town, the aim is that one of them is yours, and the report shows you when it happens.
You send the form or ring the number. Within a working day you hear back with what Sligo searches for in your trade, where you show up for those searches today and where your competitors do. That costs nothing, and you can take it to somebody else if you want to.
If you go ahead, the first fortnight is the audit. Search Console shows which searches already put you in front of people, a crawl finds what is broken, every listing carrying your details gets checked against the real ones, and the businesses Google prefers for your trade show what finished looks like in Sligo.
The next month is foundations. Profile finished, listings corrected, a review habit built into how you close a job, technical faults cleared, tracking wired in so every call and form points back at the search that brought it. Then the pages, service by service, the ones worth most first.
By the end of the first quarter you should be visible in the map around your own address, and the first report should be counting enquiries by search and by town. In Sligo the town searches move first and the county term follows. You see which is moving as you go, and if a quarter goes by without movement the report says so in plain words and the plan changes.
Sligo’s searches say who is wanted. Restaurants lead at 6,600 a month, then hotels on 2,400, hairdressers and taxis on 1,600 each, dentists and massage on 1,300, and bed and breakfasts, pharmacies and takeaways on 1,000. Every one of those searches is somebody who could be ringing you.
A restaurant in Sligo Town is fighting for three map places and wins on recent reviews, photographs from this year and being open when the search happens on a Friday evening. A hotel needs the summer trade and the Christmas party trade, which are two different pages written at opposite ends of the year. A dentist or a physio is chosen on trust, so the page has to name the people and say what a first visit costs.
The trades tied to a premises, hairdressers, gyms, pharmacies, are settled almost entirely by the map. A taxi firm needs the number tappable at two in the morning and nothing on the page in the way of it. The businesses with small search numbers, solicitors, accountants, engineers, get fewer enquiries worth far more each, so their pages sell on trust rather than volume.
It does not work for everyone. If you need calls this week, that is Google Ads, and we will say so. If the budget is a couple of hundred a month, you are better spending it on finishing your own profile than on us. For everyone else in the county, the top spot is winnable and it is worth having.
You should not have to ring an agency to find out what it charges. Sligo sits at the lower end of the bands, since most trades here have fewer competitors than Galway or Dublin and the same budget goes further.
A business that wants its own trade in Sligo Town, or one part of the county, and the calls that come with it.
A business serving Sligo, Leitrim and north Mayo, or a crowded trade in the town where the map is already contested.
A Sligo business selling nationally, online or to the trade.
Below about €400 a month you are buying a few hours of upkeep rather than a campaign. Our guide to how much SEO costs in Ireland shows what each band buys in hours, pages and links, and if the spend does not add up for your business yet we will say so before you sign anything.

A business chasing its own trade in Sligo Town or one part of the county pays €800 to €1,500 a month. That covers the profile, the service pages, the listing corrections, the review habit and a monthly report. Covering the whole county, or a crowded trade in the town, is €1,500 to €3,500 a month. Sligo sits at the lower end of both because there are fewer competitors per search than in the cities.
The map around your own address usually moves first, inside the first quarter once the profile is finished and reviews are arriving steadily. Service pages take four to six months to settle. The bare county term takes longest, and the town searches almost always land before it. If a quarter passes with nothing moving, the plan changes and the report says why.
For south Sligo searches it does the opposite. Google shows what is near the person searching, so a Tubbercurry business that says so properly takes Tubbercurry, Ballymote and the roads between them while the town businesses fight over the town. The county term is harder from that distance, so the money goes where it pays first.
Ads bring calls this week and stop the day you stop paying. Search brings calls for years after the work is done. Most Sligo businesses we take on run both for the first few months, ads carrying the leads while the pages and the map take hold, then wind the ads down. If you need calls by Friday, ads are the answer.
For the searches your address and your service area honestly match, yes, and it is the quickest money on the table. It rests on a finished profile, steady reviews, listings that agree with each other and a website that says the same things the profile does. Nobody can promise a fixed position, whatever another agency tells you. What you get from us is the work, and a report showing whether the phone rang.
